Objectices
The project "Together strong agains violence" aimed to implement long-term and sustainable measures of violence prevention in eleven residential care homes for the elderly. In the course of three years, the quality of life of the residents as well as the working situation of the staff were improved. The target groups of the project were thus manifold: staff members (care staff as well as other staff members with direct contact with the residents, volunteers), family members (regular visitors) and residents.
Objectives:
- Empowerment, focus on resources and needs of the target groups: The participants feel competent to identify and prevent incidents of aggression and violence.
- Networking and cooperation: Implementation of contact persons and prevention teams in the care homes.
- Prevention and participation: All measures and framework conditions meet the needs of the target groups who are actively involved in the project
Implementation
The evaluation team of queraum supported the project team threefold:
- evaluation of the project implementation and processes
- evaluation of the project results
- ongoing monitoring of the project activities
The queraum team supported the project team in the specification of the project aims and the reflection of the project implementation and assessed the project regularly to optimize processes and secure the results. In addition, the evaluation team checked the achievement of objectives and the effectiveness and monitored the activities and measures taken.
