Objectives
As part of the 2024 funding call "Healthy on the move – Active Mobility & Healthy Streets" of the Austrian Health Fund (FGÖ), the Stadtteilarbeit (Caritas der Erzdiözese Wien) is implementing the "Lively Anger Brunn" project. Based on a future-oriented, health-promoting design of public street spaces in the context of demographic change, the project aims to "make the streetscape along Leopold-Gattringer-Straße in Brunn am Gebirge more health-promoting, safer, and more livable through a comprehensive social space analysis in line with the Healthy Streets approach".
The project pursues the following operational objectives:
- analyze the social space of Leopold Gattringer Street using Healthy Streets indicators and identify relevant local stakeholders
- conduct a participatory needs and potential assessment
- co-creatively develop, test, and implement (temporary) measures in line with the Healthy Streets approach
- communicate project activities and raise awareness of Healthy Street design
- ensure sustainability and share lessons learned
Implementation
The external evaluation will be conducted as an outcome and process evaluation:
The outcome evaluation assesses the concrete effects of the project on the well-being, mobility, and usage patterns of the population, as well as the perception and establishment of the Healthy Streets approach.
The process evaluation analyzes the project processes with regard to efficiency, effectiveness, quality of participation, and cooperation with local stakeholders.
