Objectives
As part of the “Los geht’s” (Let's go!) project, we collaborate with older people and community groups in Austria to create interactive walking tours in public spaces. Seniors share their knowledge – for example, about the neighborhood and other various topics – through these tours. Using Actionbound app, these walking tours can be created for free, digitally, and with minimal barriers to participation. The walks are tested with interested participants and made available to everyone for free via Actionbound and the Los geht´s platform.
Implementation
This program is open to people in the post-working phase of life who are interested in developing interactive walking tours and exploring the neighborhood together with others. We also invite existing senior groups (e.g., at community centers or senior clubs) who would like to turn their ideas into multimedia tours. The platform provides access to helpful tools for creating interactive walks and offers insights into participants´experiences.
